When you order a "Natures Driftwood Cat Scratcing Tree", do not count the base as a "Tier". Each "Tree" has a base that is sized to give your tree stability and strength.
We start by selecting a piece of driftwood, dry it for 6 months, then sandblast and seal it. Then the "Tree" is built, tested for balance and tested for stability to ensure both owner's and pet's safety. In addition to being functional, they make a beautiful piece of furniture. Ou high quality materials make the "Trees" last longer and are more durable than most on the market.
Each "Tree" starts with a base made of real wood 24" x 24", or 21" x 24". Each regular "Tree" has 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 tiers, oval in shape (21" x 15"). "Sling Trees" have one sling (21" x 15") plus 1, 2, or 3 platforms, Bases and platforms are covered with high quality, cleanable carpet, top and bottom. Bases may be carpeted or wood, which is sealed for easy cleaning. Each "Tree" has a minimum of one and up to 10 driftwood pieces. Each "Tree" also has 1 or 2 sisal covered rods for your beloved feline to scratch. These rods may be natural drifwood pieces or solid doweling, and may be replaceable. Natures Driftwood Cat Scratching Trees uses bolts and screws to put the product together. There are no harmful chemicals in the products we make.
